First, let me commend you both. This is truly an interactive, lively professionally produced DVD that is appropriate for preschoolers and even for elementary school-aged children. Dr. Dorothy Singer, Co-Director, Yale Family Television Research Center
Babies and Beethoven? You bet, say the sisters, who are as bubbly as spritzers. They offer a smooth-as-Pablum show that has little ones and adults swallowing classical music without so much as a hiccup. The pair have divided long classical scores into bite-size chunks and sugar-coated them with storytelling, sing-along scores and lots of actions. This is one show where sitting still and being quiet are not encouraged. Yvonne Zacharias, Vancouver Sun, Published: Thursday, March 15, 2007
Designed for the very young, this engaging new DVD is the production of two Northwest women, Lisa Allison and Linda Sebenius, who were featured in the recent Seattle Symphony "Tiny Tots" programs (for youngsters birth through age 5). Emphasizing movement as well as listening, this DVD comes with a bonus CD of the music. The fun, up-tempo video has kids popping out from behind trees, jumping up and down, swinging on swings and generally acting out the short musical excerpts of Brahms, played by a small chamber ensemble. Melinda Bargreen, Seattle Times music critic
The programs designed and delivered by Linda and Lisa are entertaining, educational, and accessible to young children. As an educator, it is refreshing to see music education presented in a concert format while promoting an active and physical connection for children with the music. These performers are conscious of effective learning strategies for early learners and the material can be easily incorporated into early childhood education at home or in school settings. Most importantly, the repertoire presented in these programs is modified to accommodate early learners while maintaining artistic integrity and offering children authentic experiences with music. Mark Reid, Conductor & Music Educator
Before having my 5 month old, I was a Kindergarten teacher who used music constantly in my classroom. I especially loved using classical, jazz, blues and world music. On top of our scheduled music program, I would teach the children about different styles of music, musical instruments, and how music can make you feel. If only I had your DVD to compliment my lesson plans. This DVD is extraordinary and very age-appropriate. Lisa and Linda you both have beautiful and enticing voices that grabs not only children but adults into the world of Brahms. You create a vibrant child-friendly invitation for young ones to dance, sing, interact and learn. The multi sensory learning that you have developed in this DVD is extremely important in young children. I love the parent-child participation. Many DVD's are geared mostly towards children; which is fine, but your DVD is for the entire family. I love how you incorporate the American Sign Language into the song, "Lets Have a Playdate". Most young children have a short attention spans. Your knowledge of this was apparent and very successful. I congratulate you on keeping children ACTIVELY engaged and constantly interested. I applaud your professionalism, your talents and your upcoming success with this DVD and future ones. Way to go! Tara Brown, Early Childhood Educator with a Masters Degree in Creative Learning Through the Arts.

Hi Lisa and Linda,
I just wanted to write to let you know how much two of my children (Matthew- 1 ½ and Elizabeth- 3 ½) and I enjoyed yesterday’s show. We’ve been series ticket holders for about 4 years (with my older son, even before these two were born) and yesterday’s 10:30 show was fabulous. My kids get so very excited when I tell them that we’re going to the symphony (daaa, da, dum). Keep up the great work!
Sincerely,
T.M.
Hello Linda and Lisa.
We met at the Redmond Toddler Group once and my son and I have attended all of your Tiny Tots concerts (and the Jazz concert in Seattle) since Dante was just a year old. I wanted to let you know that Dante thinks you are the best.
He listens to your CD in the car and watches Splish Splash at least once every few days.
Having grown up in NYC next to Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall and coming from a highly musical family (my father has a Juilliard DMA and I finished Manhattan School of Music), I was nervous about bringing up a child “all the way in Seattle”, or as my mother would put it “in the middle of nowhere, musically speaking”.
Your programs for young children are so wonderful that I have put my fears aside. Thank you for being who you are and for doing the work you do.
I hope you know how much you are appreciated.
Sincerely
Aurika
Hi Linda & Lisa ,
I wanted to send you a quick “thank you” for the tickets to your show. The show was really fun and the kids loved all the music. Lots of dancing and swaying (on their part) which is so fun to watch. We will be sure to watch your schedule and make it to another show soon.
Thanks again,
Heather
